Whether you’re breeding fish seriously, raising fry, running multiple species or simply want a practical, easy-to-maintain aquarium system, our breeder tanks are built with fishkeepers in mind.
We manufacture our breeder tanks ourselves and offer a range of useful sizes suitable for fish rooms, breeding projects, quarantine and growing-on tanks.
HMF Filtration
Many of our breeder systems can be set up using an HMF — Hamburg Mat Filter. It’s a simple, extremely effective form of biological filtration that has long been popular with serious breeders and fishkeepers.
Water is gently drawn through a large foam mat using airflow. The enormous surface area of the sponge becomes home to beneficial bacteria while providing gentle, fry-friendly filtration.
