So what does Barlows Aquatic Trading offer?

We are an independant aquatic retailer with a vast experience of freshwater ornamental fish stemming back to the 1970's. Over the years, Giles Barlow (founder) has worked with the best in the business, has met world renown aquarists, travelled the globe to see how fish live in the wild and has built up his own business for the last 27 years and counting.

Our 8500 sq ft store in Accrington, Lancashire, is housed in an old cotton mill and is rammed to the rafters with stock. Complimented by a state of the art fish house holding only the best quality tropical fish which have been quarantined properly in our purpose built facility.

We aim to give the best service whether technical or a sales deal, and have a cheeky side to us when serving customers, as we truly believe that a fun, happy yet knowledgeable shop without any BS is a great place to buy your fish. After all, why be glum, ignorant or miserable when a shop can offer proper service with a smile and a laugh?

Make time to look through all our tanks for beautiful tropical fish; live aquarium plants from the best growers in Holland; huge stocks of "dry goods" with great prices and deals throughout. We have a huge aquascaping area and can advise on your design and even offer a free scape design service in store.

Our pond section offers fabulous fish at silly cheap prices during Spring, Summer and early Autumn, together with all the pond filters, liners, treatments and foods etc.
