Many fish keepers develop their hobby and become fully blown aquarists with multiple aquariums for different species, breeding tanks and space to grow on young fish that they have bred.

To help keep prices of kit low, we offer a range of off the shelf aquaria to suit most of the common types of fish groups but with these the filter is already built in. These filters are known as HMF filters and run by means of air flow (not a motorised pump). The benefits of HMF filters are many but low cost, huge surface area, tiny fry friendly and increased oxygen content are the main ones. Coupled with the fact that many different tanks can be run from just one large air pump (keeping electricity to a minimum).
